Stentwood Farm
We are a small group of families and single people who live together, with the common goal of learning how to love from a pure heart and a shared faith in the Son of God.
Our bakery, located on the farm, is the cottage industry that supplies income to support our simple lifestyle where all members basic needs are met, i.e.: food, shelter, and clothing (Of course love is the real basic need of all).
We bake weekly, Monday through to Thursday, taking the bread to local markets in Honiton, Bristol, Taunton, and Totnes, Tuesday through to Friday.
Every morning and evening we have an inspiring gathering together, including singing, dancing, and thanksgiving. This focuses us, and sets the pace for the day. We very much desire and expect our guests to join us at these gatherings as this is the heartbeat of our life.
Three times a day, we eat our meals together, with our guests. We generally eat vegetarian although we eat locally raised meats and fish from time to time.
The end of our working week begins on Friday evening where we celebrate with a more festive gathering and a special meal. No work is done on Saturday, which is spent restfully, and socially. Sundays are also rather social with some preparation for the weekly bake, as well as group projects, such as gardening, landscaping and building.
Volunteers are most welcome to work along side us in our Bakery, and around the farm. We assume that people come to learn about how our family and our faith works, thus we very much expect our guests to spend their time with us, including meal times and spiritual gatherings.
