Norwich Cohousing
Norwich Cohousing is working with a private property developer to build a 30 unit cohousing scheme near Norwich city centre.
The project is currently (late 2011) at the public consultation stage. We hope, once the consultation is over, to move towards an outline planning application. After that we’ll have house plans and costings - what we’ve been waiting for!
There is also an opportunity to be part of a large housing development to the northeast of Norwich. There will be plenty of green space / garden space in this edge-of-city location. We have met the developers and plan to take this forward during the autumn 2011.
The majority of houses and flats in both schemes will be privately owned. We hope to find a way of offering rental units too, and are looking into how to finance it, but don’t have anything in place yet.
