Tariki Trust
Tariki Trust is a community of people, living and working co-operatively, who believe that Buddhism is something which we live, not simply a practice to be done in limited time slots during a busy day.
Buddhism is the spirit which flows in our bones and the beautiful vibrancy of the world we encounter. It is the possibility for awakening to the wonder of the ordinary and to cease searching the ends of the earth for jewels which are already in our possession.
We generate our income from running a wide range of activities, courses, retreats and events, including professional training in Buddhism psychotherapy, meditation classes, one to one counselling and much else.
The ideal community member is capable of running programmes and has skills and experience that will compliment the existing mix and bring in an income, or has other support skills such as marketing, building maintenance or gardening.
The community is founded on Pure Land Buddhism but other types of Buddhists are most welcome. We offer a wide range of spiritually based events as well as more narrowly Pureland ones. We share responsibility for jobs such as keeping the house clean and servicing guests and participants
