Thoughts Become Things Housing Co-op

Our vision is to create and promote affordable, low impact and sustainable housing. We are ecologically and community focused, with an aim to promote social change and environmental justice.

The current members of the co-op are involved in grassroots community projects including a radical library and the Bristol free shop. We also want to inspire others to set up housing co-ops, by hosting workshops and organising regional gatherings. Stable housing will provide a base for us to continue and expand on this work.

As a fully mutual co-operative we are bound by rules that promote democracy, equality and participation. We feel we go beyond these legal obligations by placing the principles and practices of consensus decision making, non-hierarchical working and mutual empowerment at the core of everything we do.

WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING LOANSTOCK AND WELCOME ANY ENQUIIRES, PLEDGES OR WORDS OF WISDOM!

We need to raise money to pay susbstansial costs even with a mortgage if you’d like to help this co-op get onto it’s feet please get in touch; we can offer up to 4% interest on sums invested for 5, 10, 15 20 or 25 years. Investments are made as repayable loans, not donations, although they’d be gratefully recieved..
Let us know if you’d like some more info on wht we’re about, we’ve a ‘pack’ we can sed you with more about us and an explanation of the loanstock process. We can also send you our current projected buisness plan if you’re interested.
