Findhorn Foundation
The only thing that stays the same at Findhorn, is change. People come here and experience inner changes: their hearts opening, their minds relaxing, their consciousness expanding. The community itself is always changing too: new management structures, new decision-making procedures, new initiatives moving forward — all the better to reflect the deeper issues and possible solutions of our times.
After 47 years Findhorn is still committed to serving spirit, with “work is love in action” still being the most widely practised mode of service; it’s just that the kinds of work keep changing and developing over the years. Where once the Findhorn Foundation was known as the place where people talked to nature spirits and grew 40-pound cabbages, it is now known for its community, its educational activities, and its developing ecovillage (and some of us still do communicate directly with nature). All of these activities are the natural continuation of earlier work done in these areas.
People from all over the world come to Findhorn for our Experience Weeks and other programmes and trainings, or as a Short Term Visitor for just a couple of days, and many find inspiration to bring spirit more present in their everyday lives. The Findhorn Foundation is now the cornerstone of a wider community of more than 400 people and 35 businesses, working together to create a sustainable lifestyle that reflects the divinity in all life.
