I am looking for an opportunity to share a place in rural-ish west Midlands, an opportunity to develop a small community would be great.

Hi, I am a mature mum of a 12 year old boy, he is currently homeschooling. I am part-time self employed and studying for a degree in Applied Social Science, I am passionate about creating a better world. I am currently living in social housing and have just found out I am coming into an inheritance which will mean I am off benefits until it is gobbled up by the system, so am looking to get away and live in a community situation. I have many skills and am a hard worker, I love gardening and cooking and am a silkscreen printer and artist. I am interested in staying in East Sussex, but anything considered.

New Life in Nature
I’m a 23 year old man seeking a self-sufficient or partially self-sufficient community more or less anywhere out of the smoke! I am a trained carpenter and am happy to do whatever work I can -in exchange for bed and board or a little space to construct a yurt and grow a little veg!- whether it’s carpentry or digging weeds! I would also love to learn more about agriculture and self-sufficiecy in general. I am a vegetarian and practice the Buddhist way of life and am open, as is the way to all walks of life. I am hoping to sever my attachments to the city and grow as part of nature and a spiritual community.
Peace, Love and Light

In need of help
Hi, I really don’t know how to start this but here it go’s, I am at 25 years old male and I ve lost my life to a demon drug! In this world of rich pigs! And really in need of a new life. I’ve always have a love for music and play the bass, I’ve worked most of my life doing property maintenance and plumbing. When I wasn’t working I was traveling around trying to find myself. I know I bit about camping starting fires etc but would love to live along and with nature. I am willing to do and try anything that’s asked of me work wise or living.
I would really be greatfull if there is a community that might be able to help????

In need of a base...
Hi there. Myself and my partner, and possibly one or two teenage children, will shortly be setting off on our travels in our converted horse box. We would ideally like to join a community project, co-op or eco-village from which we could travel away to work for a few months of the year. We don’t mind where in the UK, but central or South would be best for us. We both work, so can make a financial contribution, but don’t have any capital with which to buy land or property. We both have lots of practical skills - building, woodwork, welding, forging, gardening and animal care so we have a lot to offer. If you know of anywhere please send me a message :)

Wanted: Accommodation for live-in work
I am a home-working natural health therapist (massage, herbs, etc). I have modest practical needs and can fit myself and practice into the smallest of places but what I really need is a genuine welcome from person(s) who would be genuinely happy to have me around in the daytime. I would consider a small rent but can also offer live-in work in lieu, on a part-time basis. I would be happy to help around the house and garden, with animals and/or children and I do have previous extensive care experience so might suit someone who needs a little assistance to maintain independence within their own home. Currently living in South East but would consider surrounding areas.

Sea, Trees, Yorkshire Coast
Hello, I’m Dawn and am wondering if anyone out there knows of community’s along the Yorkshire coast. I’ve not been able to find any in the area. For now I would just like to explore some places, offer my skills and dosh as a fair contribution. I want to be near my family and friends still who are in the Hull area and have a strong desire to be near the sea and to live with loving, open hearted, creative people. I’d love the space to grow. Feeling confined in the city. To develop my massage practice and to do all the things I love, tending plants, dancing, painting, meditating, swimming in the sea and walking along the beach, being close to birds and animals. If you know of any places that are already in existence or people wanting something similar around this area, I would appreciate hearing about. Warm wishes.

I am the person you have been looking for!
I’m a sculptor, in wood & clay mostly. Lately I’ve been nomadic, living & working in/out of my campervan that I converted myself. I’m looking for rural places to stay & work, either short or long term. I’m I’m a sculptor, in wood & clay mostly. I’m nomadic, living & working in/out of my camper van that I converted myself. I’m looking for rural places to stay & work, either short or long term. I am looking to meet like-minded, creative, green, resourceful people to live with. People who are compassionate & tolerant, who prefer action to meetings.
I have lots of practical skills & experience: gardening, tree pruning, DIY, carpentry, alternative house building.
I am great with animals, having worked with them my whole life, including horses & donkeys (I have owned & trained both).
I like small scale communal places; laid-back & sociable with no particular ethos (I have lived in a lot of communal houses/communities). I like musicians (I play musical saw & sing a bit). I love cooking; whatever grows locally, what I can find for free, what comes out of the sea, wild or organically farmed meat. I’m a good photographer & can use photoshop (though I’d rather be working outside than sitting indoors at a computer).
My ideal is eventually to find somewhere longer term to stay, where I can put my sculptures outside & create a sculpture garden, maybe build a shack to live in. In December 2013 I will be travelling down through France to the south of Spain. I would like to visit communities on my travels this winter.

Successful Team Needs New Adventure
We are a pre-existing community of six people living and working at a community and spiritual retreat venue in Dorset. We have recently found out that the community will be closed down in the New Year.
We have, between us, fifteen years experience of running a large venue catering for up to 120 guests at a time and of organising an annual festival with up to 2000 visitors. We have among our number at least one of the following: artists; art therapists; Zen meditation teachers; yoga teachers; gong masters; writers; chefs; massage therapists; dressmakers; musicians; and more. We have extensive skills, experience and energy and we know that we can we can live and work together successfully. We are all also very practical and hardworking.
We are all interested in consciousness and spiritual matters and we all have different perspectives and approaches. We all have the skills to facilitate workshops and courses. We are a tight-knit community of very different individuals who are extremely good at communication and conflict resolution. We are a free-thinking, non-sectarian and fun-loving bunch and we all feel that it would be a shame to break up a group with a well-proven track record. We are on the lookout for a new environment in which to continue our work and our adventures.
We are all agreed that it would be a great shame if a group that works so well should disband and we are convinced that our combined talents and experience could be put to good use elsewhere.
Please get in contact if you have any questions.
Matthew, Michelle, Stuart, Chris, Ellie & Susan
