Stratford-upon-Avon Large country house with 3 acres

I have a large country property that I would like to rent to people wanting to live an eco friendly lifestyle. It will have solar for electricity, Wood Chip Boiler, huge green house, 3 acres and a pond (water supply). The house could accomodate about 20 people with 12 large bedrooms and large kitchen and living areas and a barn. I am thinking to rent the rooms at around £500 per month to cover the cost of the building.

Large house of hippies and gardners need more hippies

As the title says, as you can probably guess I’m one of the hippies and would really like to get this little community started. We have a very large garden that we are currently cultivating to grow food. We have also built a chicken coop. Other than our gardening projects we also have an arts project and we voulenteer at festivals so music is never an issue. There are 5 rooms going and I would love them to be filled with people who would join in and not just play games all the time. we are in barnsley south yorkshire

Large house with land in Slovenia

If you are looking for a beautiful quiet place with nature on your doorstep and large plot of land to keep yourself self-sufficient this might be what you are looking for. We have a large property in the wine growing region of Prlekija in the North-East of Slovenia that has a great potential to be transformed into sustainable low energy living space that a small community or couple of families can share. The house is structurally complete and needs finishing works. It comes with 3.500m2 of agricultural land (including a small part of forest). Life in this part of the world is slow paced and relaxed, locals are lovely, friendly and helpful. As much as we love this place we have to let go of it due to family circumstances. Please contact me if interested and I’ll send you full details incl. pictures. Thank you.

Spain-5 acres of land and property £8000

We’ve had lots of dreamers how about a few diggers now!Our plot and building is peacefull secluded, beautiful and wild but only 2 km from hillside village Cervera del Maestre and 26 km from coast at Vinaros. We are surrounded by a dry river bed on 3 sides and hills on the other side. There are olive, almond and pine trees, although they have not been tended for years.
There is no electricity(ideal for solar/wind power) & no water on site. There is a local well for water and the village fonts, or perhaps like the neighbours a bore hole could be drilled.
The concrete block building is 50 sq mtrs with a concrete floor, and also attached is a large courtyard. There is no roof on the building but all the walls are solid. This property could easily be converted back to a home with no planning required. If you wish to build a larger house, permission would be needed and also water installed as a condition. There is flat land near the house,to situate caravans, teepees, yurts ideal for communal living etc in the glorious warm Spanish countryside. We have legal deeds for the property and land.
This is an inexpensive project for someone or a group of like minded eco souls who want something a bit more exciting and different. More info, photos and plan available.

Residents Needed

I have two houses in the Sierra Mariola National Park in Valencia.
I’m looking for people to help me start to farm the 15 thousand square metre plots in an organic and sustainable way. The aim is to provide a caring community environment, and temporary retreat for the long term homeless . I have a website www.simoninspain.co.uk that will give more details of the project. Please note this is a start up community and anybody travelling over to Spain will get a warm welcome but until we start producing crops, will need to be able to contribute to ongoing food bills (an estimated 8 euro per day)
I’ve had many people showing interest in the project but as yet nobody has committed any time.
Just to clarify the project is off-grid and anybody wanting to spend time there will need to be able to feed themselves as the project is not yet operational.
As of 12 December 2012 I have had over 60 people expressing an interest in joining the project, several have made arrangements to travel but as yet nobody has arrived (Bermuda Triangle?)
All I can restated is that the project is very much in the start up phase.Living conditions are primative (although the beauty of the location more than makes up for this). We do not have access to transport to collect people from airports.Public transport is available and we would like the project to have as small a carbon footprint as possible. If anybody has any questions not addressed on the website or Facebook page, contact me and I will answer as promptly as my limited access to wifi will allow.Just to update 30th March 2013
I’ve had close to 80 enquiries about the project but at the time of writing 5 people have visited the project.A caretaker would be really handy at the moment until the project gets underway. So if you like the idea of living in a beautiful part of Spain.......
Just to update I’ve received a couple of emails in the last week but my reply was not delivered due to the senders inbox problems. If you need info please ensure your email address is current.Regards David

Hungarian Homes

If anyone has written recently eg John your e mail was incorrect so please reply again thanks

If you are interested in real self sufficiency this could be you .

I have a large cottage and outbuildings in the woods in a nice area of Hungary. it is completely still and a bit isolated . It is set in two acres or so but you can also use the forest land that surrounds for descreet planting, foraging, and animal keeping .
I live in a different cottage just up the road set in a larger amount of land eight acres . I also co-opratively own two acres some of the sorrounding forest . At the present time I would like to encourage a group of people to join me and share skills. I work in the uk so presently cant be there all the time
there are no restrictions on how naturally people live in this area it is all back to nature living in the forest areas and there are few bills . Curently I pay for electricity but eventually we will be solar powered. there are no other bills but no dole either

There are a few of us who are going to settle in the area but we have other commitments elsewhere as well. Between us all we are hoping to cover a year round callendar to really get the gardens going .
I have done up the larger cottage and while we wait for the right time to move there properly I am looking for one member to live there and get the garden going. There is already a Hungarian man Bela , who is an expert in ecology and permaculture, and he has started work on the gardens in addition to his own .
I am able to offer a room and shared home to somebody streight away. if they would like to take on the care taking role for the next six months . Alas you need to support yourself until the garden grows .
This is obviously with the view to staying as part of the group .
We have nice neighbours and shops five klm away
If you would like to have and mix with some nice neighbours who would like to live on the land, grow things and be part of a network of like minded people. A family or three people could live in the cottage in the woods. Four people are interested in living in the other place . there is enough garden to grow enough food and have a few animals. There is enough space for a number of people .
Eventually we could have two or three productive gardens. Alltogether there is about ten acres surrounded by woods. A few people have already contacted us, I am just waiting for more.
Warm regards. Ann

Caribbean Ocean View Community 38k

6500 square meteres of Ideal Land for families wishing to start a communities in a location that local people still live as communities. The hills of the Samana peninsula offer furtile land with water and electricity available if required. Coastal fishing is available 300 meters from the land (all downhill). The views are spectacular of both the ocean and the samana bay where the Humpback whale migrates to every year. It would cost around 500 pounds max to get an entire plantation of eveything to get you sustainable planted for you with local knowledge or of course you could do it yourself. Goats milk available locally and there is a spring located 150 meters off the land that is drinkable. The local town trades a lot as a community once you get to know them and are keen to trade. These are mainly farmers you would be living among with much to teach and much to learn. There can be real swap of skills and knowledge. You will be taught by locals where/how to catch the local fish which is down a hill from the Land (300m) and done without a rod. There is of course doctors and shops for food all available nearby for things you can{t produce. Livestock is easy to get hold off as are many products produced locally. We are able to sell the land for 38k pounds. That was a good price 5 years ago when we bought it and remains so. The land has a flat peak and flat areas for dwellings around its entirety. Things grow very fast and large here. There is construction size bamboo available locally for 2 pounds a 5 meter pole, and all the coconut tree wood you would need for a beautiful community. We have lived here for the past few years and will be very sad to go. We have small children 2 and 4 that have been raised here but it is time to go back to uk. It has been an experience we would have never missed and a learning curve that is suited to the adventurous. Search on google for the local scenery. If you would like more info then call me on 00 + 1 + 809 8022237 if you have any questions. I dont get to the internet too often although there is one a couple of miles away (could be installed on land as far as we have been told). Because of the climate with have been able to live with nothing more than a bamboo roof and tarp and the inner of a tent. We live at the peak so there is always a cool breeze. I apologise for the dis-jointedness of this message by the way. I didn’t really prepare well. We also have clear title for the land. Thanks.
