Keveral Farm Community
Keveral Farm has existed as a community in various forms since 1973. It consists of 13 adults, 11 children, 2 dogs, 5 cats and 10 chickens.
The main house and farm buildings are owned and managed by our housing co-operative, One Community.
We aim to reach decisions by consensus, but we also have a voting procedure if required.
We have renovated ‘The Piggery’ into a dwelling, and have planning permission to renovate more of our farm buildings.
The 30 acres of farm land are owned by our land co-op Keveral Sustainable Landholdings Ltd, and leased to Keveral Farmers Ltd, our workers’ co-op, which manages the farm. Some workshops are run by Keveral Permaculture Group.
Most members have their own veg plots, and some of this supplies restaurants and our privately run veggie box scheme. We also produce organic preserves, and have a small campsite in our orchard. Our members also do tree-work, joinery, ecological consultancy, and medical herbalism.
The growth of our farming enterprises is due in part to fairly stable (numerically) residents. We rarely accept new members.
We accept WWOOFers and working visitors by arrangement, usually for 5-7 days.
We prefer enquiries by email. Further info on our website.
