Ty’r Eithin

Ty’r Eithin is a small Biodynamic farm with many traditional marshy grassland fields, full of wild flowers and wildlife. With help from an adult with special needs, WWOOFers and young people we run a small dairy herd, some sheep and milking goats, gardens and a polytunnel. We supply Demeter symbol beef, lambs and milk, and are currently in the Tir Gofal (Land Care) whole farm environment scheme.
We see our main purpose as helping to connect people with the beauties and practicalities of good land management, and with the cultutal and spiritual aspects this involves. We have various building projects and much hedging and fencing in progress. We hope to be able to process our milk to cheese or yoghurt at some stage and are looking for younger long term residents to take the whole project forwards.
We are active in various ways in our wider community, organising barn dances, doing community singing etc. and find we live in a wonderfully welcoming and tolerant local communtiy.
So far long term residents have received what they need for living from the farm, although some have found part time work outside to bring in some cash, Anyone here long term has a voice on our Council of Management
