In association with the Missing Kind charity, we are developing our first KindaVillage near Pencader, Carmarthenshire, Wales, the UK as a base for a community dedicated to the delivery of social and environmental impact. This will be a community where wealth and success are measured not by personal ownership, but by that of giving. We are in the early stages of this project and our aim is to develop social enterprise businesses as part of the village, which will be focussed on: inspirational and rejuvenating wellbeing and special interest retreats and courses, alternative elderly care and schooling, animal sanctuary and animal therapy, and organic farming. Longer term, we hope to offer small plots for self-build eco houses for social care workers – subject to planning permission. Anyone interested in helping develop our community and social business activities, with passion and skill in any of the above areas of work, is most welcome to apply to join us.

KindaVillage is part of a growing network of venues owned, or associated with, the Missing Kind charity, as part of its KindaMovement. The KindaMovement Intentional Community is a nomadic flock of ethical fair-play and mindful beings, creating and supporting a purposeful lifestyle through ethical commercial endeavour, from birth to death; embracing and delivering the values of the Missing Kind charity. Serving the local community and supporting more global ambitions. This community resides in our KindaMovement network of venues, with opportunity to interchange and operate hospitality, educational, agricultural and engineering social enterprises. These venues currently also include a hotel in Devon, UK which is being transitioned into a social impact centre supporting, particularly although not exclusively, a local ageing population, and an alternative, festival-style wedding/events venue in Cambridge, UK. As well as the social and environmental projects based at KindaVillage, as mentioned above, we are seeking pioneers to develop complimentary residential enterprises to support democratic schooling (KindaSchooling), elderly care (KindaCare), organic food production (KindaCuisine).
