We are a small land based community with many transient members from all walks of life who aspire to live simply in tune with land and seasons. Our 100 acres is an upland sheep farm which we manage more as a nature reserve. We would like to find others who share some of our passions for the arts, agriculture, archaeology and the natural world to live here on a longer term basis. We do some archaeology, produce most of our own vegetables, meat and milk, cheese and honey, wines, use alternative energy and have restored some beautiful old buildings. We manage our own woodlands for fuel and timber for our natural building projects. We run a programme of courses in prehistoric arts and traditional crafts and are reconstructing a working neolithic settlement. We would like to create a welcoming and inspiring cultural/educational centre that will both provide a fulfilling way of life on the land and look for simple practical solutions to some of the challenges we face today in a rapidly changing world.
