We sometimes take enthusiastic volunteers who want to help with our veg growing and other jobs. A good level of self-reliance is needed by volunteers.
We enjoy when Wwoofers visit us in Glastonbury Somerset, at the moment we are looking for help in the garden. 5 hours per day nominally. Please get in touch if you are interested.
Lothlorien (Rokpa Trust) is a Buddhist influenced therapeutic community for people with mental health problems. Quiet rural setting in SW Scotland.Daily activities include organic gardening,relaxation, artwork, etc. We are seekingfull time live-in volunteers who can commitfor a minimum of six months. Volunteers are welcome to visit by arrangement, to get involved with the various projects here and experience community life and day to day goings on.
We have 2 places for a 2 month volunteer placement. The role will include volunteer coordination, work in organic gardens and wood processing. We are offering a series of internships for volunteers with real practical experience and enthusiasm to offer, who want to improve and learn new skills. Internship subjects vary each year – examples are – countryside and livestock management, natural building, Growing and processing organic veg, ecotourism, fundraising and admin, carpentry, beekeeping, website design, business skills, experimental archaeology.

However we are not accepting any volunteers from abroad and only local volunteers allready known to us for the time being. We host volunteers for two week periods from April through to October each year when we close down for the winter. We have set aside spaces for up to a maximum of four volunteers at any one time during this period. We set aside spaces for a maximum of two families during the volunteer season.
